    Abstract
    • Republic of Indonesia actually has enormous fish resources potential, but the fisheries sector has yet to show its teeth in the national economy. One reason is the weakness of information flow in this field. Fisheries Economic is a unique area because of its fugitive resources nature and the complexity of management requires a separate study. This book presents comprehensive fisheries economic theory enriched with historical and philosophical aspects. The author also describes policy assessment and fisheries management in both theoretical and empirical perspectives and has provided examples of easy-to-follow discussions and exercises to stimulate thinking about the fisheries economic.
