dc.description.abstractCuttlefish form the largest fishery in the coastal waters of the Yemen; Sepia pharonis is the commercial variety fished. Details are given of the fishing season, overfishing, foreign collaboration and regulation measures. Sea cucumbers (Holothuria scabra ) are also abundant in the coastal waters of the Gulf of Aden. Details of the fishery and marketing aspects are included.
