Program Brief: 2020-23.https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12348/4313This nutrition brief outlines the rationale and focus of the Partnership for Aquaculture Development in Timor-Leste Phase 2 (PADTL2) project for enhancing the nutritional benefits of scaling out tilapia farming for targeted Timorese communities. The PADTL2 project (2020–2023) adopts a nutrition-sensitive approach focused on increasing the availability, accessibility, and consumption of fish. The PADTL2 project strives to further improve pond productivity, reduce production costs and improve the marketing chain so that locally produced fish will be more widely available, and at affordable prices, for consumers at large. The work aligns with the National Nutrition Strategy and complements other governmental and non-governmental initiatives on nutrition and nutrition security in the country.PDFCC-BY-NC-4.0good health and well-beingresponsible consumption and productionno povertyzero hungernutrition sensitivelife below watersmall-scale aquaculturegift tilapiaFishMaking land-based aquaculture in Timor-Leste nutrition-sensitiveBrief
