dc.description.abstract | This study illustrates the utility of the Linear Programming (LP) approach to optimize the use of coastal resources. OPUS, the LP software, was used to analyze the mangrove resources of the Gulf of Guayaquil, Ecuador; tourism, forestry and fisheries in Bio-Bio region, Chile; land use in Lingayen Gulf region, Philippines; and optimal fleet configuration in San Miguel Bay, Philippines. | |
