Coral reefs: valuable resources of Southeast Asia is the first of the titles in the education series of the ASEAN/US CRMP and of ICLARM. This book is intended to introduce coral reef ecosystems as valuable and vulnerable resources which contribute significantly to the economic well-being of coastal people. But because coral reefs are plundered and rapidly destroyed, like many coastal resources, a case is made for rational and sustainable use to ensure their long-term survival and viability.
