    Abstract
    • In October 1973, a small group of fisheries experts met at The Rockefeller Founda-tion. Present were specialists from the Foundation and representatives of other concerned organizations, including ten other private foundations, the U.S. Agency for International Development, the International Development Research Centre, the United Nations Development Programme, and the World Bank. The Conference on Living Aquatic Resources was organized to provide information on worldwide and regional needs in aquaculture and fisheries development, and to assist RF offi cials in organizing a program of support.
