dc.description.abstract | The Bangladesh component of the project was successfully concluded by the end of 2022. Many activities that had been delayed by the COVID pandemic were completed during the year and targets for Local Service Providers (LSPs) were met. The decentralized extension efforts utilized in collaboration with LSPs demonstrated their potential to impact at scale, far more effectively than traditional approaches. The wide range of private sector partnerships all delivered solid results, indicating the importance of market-driven approaches to aquaculture development moving forward. In review, the lateness with which many LSPs joined the program was unfortunate and limited the ability of the team to do as much work with them as they would have wished. The pandemic had very significant, unavoidable impacts on the project in Bangladesh, however, this did not prevent it from achieving the majority of its planned outcomes. During 2022 a significant number of events, publications, videos, and other communication materials were developed both to support the project’s activities and to publicize its outcomes to all stakeholders. | en_US |
