Abstract
- To build capacity and transfer the technology among government functionaries and researchers, WorldFish organized a "Capacity building and knowledge exchange workshop on mass seed production of small indigenous fish” in collaboration with Directorate of Fisheries, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department Government of Odisha which took place in Tulanga Village, Tirtol Block, Jagatsinghpur district on 20 December 2023. Beyond its primary focus on mola seed production, the training program served as a platform for free interaction with government officials, discussing various schemes and benefits related to aquaculture. This interaction further solidified the government's commitment to scaling nutrition-sensitive aquaculture practices. The program's success represents a significant stride towards addressing nutritional challenges and promoting sustainable aquaculture in Odisha.
