dc.description.abstractAn account of the fisheries in the Lake Qarun, Egypt is described in this article. As the salinity of the water increased through the years, Lake Qarun experienced significant ecological effects on its fauna and flora. The original freshwater fish fauna of the lake was drastically affected.
