dc.description.abstractThe economic importance of the beche-de-mer fishery in the Philippines is discussed, describing the method of collection used. Processing of the sea cucumbers into trepang and pricing/grading of the product are also outlined. Depletion of the stocks and the need for adequate regulation of collection are examined.
