A key initiative within the project is the formation of Women Income and Nutrition Group (WING) engaging women members (25-35) of the targeted artisanal fishing households. WING members undergo capacity building initiatives through training and Business Literacy School (BLS) to involve in nutrition-sensitive income generating activities for example small livestock (goat, chicken, duck) farming and homestead horticulture. Each of the WINGs has 1 executive committee (EC) consisting of 5 members. The guideline is designed for WING members, to understand the process of EC formation, understand their roles and monitoring the group activities such as monthly meeting, savings collection and deposition in bank, documentation, IGA status etc. Additionally, different templates have been incorporated to record financial activities. The booklet serves as a valuable supporting tool that will assist in the smooth operation of all the activities of WING. It will significantly enhance the knowledge and institutional capacity of the WING members to operationalize women groups, specifically within the unique context of coastal artisanal fishing communities. By doing so, it contributes to the overall well-being and resilience of these communities. This booklet is also useful for development practitioners aiming to improve the livelihood resilience of artisanal fishing households.
