This article discusses the findings from a global review on marine protected areas (MPAs) and their dual impact on biodiversity and human wellbeing. Article highlights that well-managed MPAs can enhance food security, livelihoods and nutrition, particularly through increased access to nutrient-rich aquatic foods.
