dc.description.abstract | WorldFish has long championed nutrition-sensitive approaches to aquatic food production systems, particularly through the promotion of Small Indigenous Fish Species (SIS) of fish. This effort received global acclaim when Dr. Shakuntala Haraksingh Thilsted of WorldFish was awarded the 2021 food prize. Since then, there has been a renewed focus on SIS aquaculture, with Carp-SIS polyculture emerging as a powerful means to promote nutrition-sensitive approaches. | en_US |
