dc.description.abstract | WorldFish, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), has made significant progress through its "Taking Nutrition-Sensitive Carp-SIS Polyculture Technology to Scale" project. Operating in the Indian states of Odisha and Assam, this initiative has developed scalable techniques for mass production of SIS seeds, enabling the adoption of nutrition-sensitive aquaculture practices and contributing to better food security and nutritional outcomes. To build on these successes and facilitate knowledge-sharing, WorldFish, in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries, Assam, organized a state-level workshop on December 20, 2024, in Bhubaneswar, titled "Taking Nutrition-Sensitive Carp-SIS Polyculture Technology to Scale." The workshop brought together 58 participants, including officials from the Department of Fisheries, researchers, academics, representatives from farmer producer companies (FPCs), NGOs such as Grameen Shara and Azim Premji Foundation, as well as progressive farmers. The event saw a diverse participation of 6 women and 52 men. | en_US |
