The report – Establishment of multi-species hatcheries for small indigenous species (sis) in assam: Business model and economics, examines the potential for developing hatchery-based seed production of SIS in Assam to support nutrition-sensitive aquaculture. Given the state’s rich water resources and the increasing awareness of SIS as a critical source of essential micronutrients, establishing multispecies hatcheries presents an opportunity to enhance fish productivity, improve household nutrition, and boost rural incomes.
