USAID’s ECOFISH II is a five-year project (2019-2024) implemented by WorldFish Bangladesh in partnership with the Department of Fisheries (DoF). It brings tangible and intangible outcomes in enhancing the social and ecological resilience of coastal communities. USAID’s ECOFISH II Bangladesh storybook captures the journey of improving the livelihoods of coastal fishing communities while protecting vital aquatic ecosystems. It shares inspiring stories of improvement, lesson learnt, and experience gathered. This book focuses on sustainable fishing practices that enhance food security and marine biodiversity. Through real-life stories, the book showcases sustainable fishing practices, improved food security, and enhanced livelihoods, illustrating the project's role in fostering resilience, gender equity, and environmental stewardship among coastal communities.
