This research project was designed to determine the distribution of total catch and revenues among major gear types, so that informed decisions regarding possible gear regulations could be made by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the municipalities which have responsibility for enforcing fishery regulations in San Miguel Bay and other fishing grounds of the country. The various papers in this report analyze the economic aspectsof fisheries production and marketing in San Miguel Bay. It represents the results of data collection and analysis over approximately a two-year period, 1979-1981.
