D's ECOFISH II is a five-year (2019-2024) project funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by WorldFish Bangladesh in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries (DoF) of Bangladesh Government. The project is working to improve the social and ecological resilience of coastal fisheries, securing equitable food, nutrition and livelihood benefits for artisanal fishing communities in the Zone of Resilience (ZOR- Cox's Bazar district), some important areas of Meghna River Ecosystem (MRE- Patuakhali, Barguna and Bhola districts) and Nijhum Dwip Marine Protected Area (MPA- Hatiya, Charfasson, Rangabali upazila). The project has a plan to develop the capacity of the target beneficiaries/groups. Different awareness building initiatives are taken to achieve the project objectives. Conduct need based training is one of them. Therefore, the ECOFISH II team has developed several course modules to support the co-management activity. This module is developed to train the Landing Center Based Fisheries Conservation Committee (LFCC). This is a one-day course manual. LFCC played a leadership role in Fisheries co-management. The objective of the training module is to develop the leadership capability of the LFCC. To ensure a sustainable co-management activity, LFCC needs to maintain an organizational structure. All the topics of this module are selected based on the training needs of the LFCC. The session conduction will be guided by the session plan which contains a handout of the relevant topic. The available materials will be very helpful to conduct the session smoothly.en_US
