This study is part of Work Package 2 (WP2) of Asia–Africa BlueTech Superhighway (AABS), which determines the key interventions needed to promote the adoption of IMTA in Nigeria. The study was conducted in Nigeria’s three southwestern coastal states: Ondo, Ogun and Lagos. The monthlong survey was designed to collect both quantitative and qualitative data using structured questionnaires and key informant interviews. A total of 451 respondents were selected from the three states. They were composed of both existing fish farmers, who are most likely to scale up their conventional aquaculture systems to IMTA, as well as scientists, who are the hub of technical knowledge needed for adopting the system. The study identifies multilevel challenges and proposes a framework of actionable interventions to promote the adoption of IMTA in the three states.en_US
