dc.description.abstract | The Sustainable Transformation of Egypt’s Aquaculture Market System (STREAMS) project is a three-year intervention led by WorldFish and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The project is envisaged to increase the production of fish, in the following governorates Kafr El Sheikh, Sharkiya, Fayoum, Behaira and Menya, from sustainable aquaculture systems while increasing job opportunities for youth and women. STREAMS focuses on three major areas of intervention, namely: 1) Sustainable intensification and improved governance of existing fish-farming zones. 2) Expanded opportunities for pro-poor aquaculture systems. 3) Improved fish marketing systems. | en_US |
