dc.description.abstract | A discussion is presented on the topic of pond stirring in aquaculture as a means of increasing productivity of the fish ponds. Pond stirring may be done either mechanically or by using aquatic organisms (bioturbation), and increases the nutrients in the water column and resulting microbial production, also supplying food and surfaces for microbial colonization for consumption by fish. | |
