Recognizing the considerable nutritional importance of seaweed and small fish, and need to expand their market reach, ECOFISH II has initiated various promotion initiatives to raise awareness about their consumption. Aiming to produce nutrient rich, diversified and locally acceptable food items with seaweed and fish powder, a recipe book has been developed. Seaweed and dried fish powder have been used as much as possible to increase the amount of protein, iron and other nutrients. Additionally, a range of delicious, visually appealing, and easily preparable dishes has been developed using locally available ingredients. These recipes are designed to appeal to the entire family, promoting the consumption of these nutritious ingredients. The recipe book emphasizes the nutritional benefits of seaweed and small marine fish, highlighting their importance in enhancing the nutritional contents of meals. Additionally, it provides valuable insights into the nutritional value of various ingredients used in the recipes. Furthermore, the book includes a variety of nutrition messages aimed at improving household nutrition, with a particular focus on the well-being of mothers and children. These messages are designed to raise awareness about the importance of consuming nutrient-rich foods for overall health and development.
