dc.description.abstractThis study on the Integrated Municipal Council, Philippines (IMC) has the following objectives; (1) to evaluate the IMC as an institution for co-management in the coastal area of the Philippines, (2) to determine the impact of an IMC in the coastal area based on co-management criteria like sustainability, efficiency and equity, and (3) to compare two IMCs in the Philippines and determine the factors that contribute to the success of an IMC.
