This infographic shares key results from a nutrition survey of Aquatic Foods (AFs) consumption in the first 1000 days of life in coastal communities in Timor-Leste as part of the Nutrition-Sensitive Fisheries Management (NSFM) project. The survey (n=386) covered four coastal villages from three municipalities, it was implemented during the dry season (Sep–Oct 2022) and wet season (Mar–Apr 2023), and results are representative of the population at the village level. The findings show participation in gleaning and fishing, present a detailed assessment of aquatic food consumption patterns -including quantity- and of dietary practices, and illustrate knowledge, attitudes and practices of AFs with a focus on pregnant and lactating women as well as infants and young children.en_US
