This report summarizes findings from logbook data collection on fish storage and ice sales from two Solomon Islands Provincial Fishery Centers. The findings from logbook data were collected at the Lata PFC in Temotu Province and the Malu’u PFC in Malaita Province. The data was recorded over 6 months in 2023 and the analysis identifies use trends and patterns. We reflect on some of the benefits and challenges associated with using logbooks to monitor activities and collect data that can ultimately provide insights to improve center,
and fisheries, management and development.
