dc.description.abstractFish yields in tropical lakes and reservoirs vary greatly; the importance of fish composition as a factor affecting productivity is discussed, examining the fish composition in tropical standing waters worldwide. Raising fish yields by species introductions is discussed, considering in particular factors to be taken into account before introductions are carried out.
