This guideline supports the Nonglom Wetlands Management Committee in conducting villageled action research to identify local challenges, explore solutions, and take collective action
for sustainable wetland management. The research aims to produce tangible changes driven
by local needs, such as improved fishing regulations. It also enhances local awareness and
informs planning, co-management, and monitoring, aligning with the broader goal of building
villagers’ capacity to document and communicate local knowledge for sustainable
development.
