Save the children_Inception Phase Narrative Report on Suchana, WorldFish_2015_Nov-2016_Feb

Abstract

Finalize partnership agreement with CNRS, FIVDB and RDRS: we have drafted the agreement, shared with partners, incorporated some of their comments and shared some of their feedback with SCi for needed action. WorldFish team have worked with respective IPs and finalized formalities of recruiting 12 Field Facilitators (Fisheries & Horticulture) will join from February’16 will be deployed Suchana 12 learning union. • Rapid Fisheries and Horticulture assessment: WorldFish Suchana field team collected all information from each union using PRA (KII and FGD) tools. Data entry completed, now writing report (For detail Annex – A) • Formative Research: Both quantitative and qualitative methods have been used for the study. During the reporting period all the primary data have been collected from the field. Processing and organizing of qualitative information is going on. Household level surveys for quantitative information have been completed (For detail Annex – B) • Review and development of ToT course for WorldFish Suchana staffs and Field Facilitator (Fisheries and Horticulture): ToT course for Fisheries and Horticulture capacity building of IP’s Field Facilitators (FF) have been developed. The developed course will be fine-tuned in February, 2016 during ToT course will be facilitated for 12 FFs in Sylhet. ToT for WorldFish staffs still on development stage by end of February, 2016 will be completed. • Developed Technical strategy for Fisheries and Horticulture dissemination for increased production, consumption and income; presented to DFID, SCi and iDE (Annex – C) • Revisited and developed 02 set of budget and activities by including 07 month inception (August’15 – February’16), 10 months learning phase (March – December, 2016) and 72 months implementation phase (January, 2017 – December, 2022).
