Progress since the 2019 Penang meeting has been steady, but positive and productive. Whilst 2020 was committed to producing communication products, our efforts in 2021 have been building and maintaining relationships with NGOs, environmental organizations, CSOs and social movements. The relationship between many actors involved in the Penang meeting and the Global Strategic Framework Advisory Group was non-existent or negative and the relationship has been building since. The benefit of the online webinars provides small steps and allows individuals to engage at a level they wish. The result has been overwhelmingly positive, with SSF and environmental NGOs connecting through other platforms and involving other members, to share the experience.en_US
