dc.description.abstract | This cookbook has been produced as part of the PADTL2 project in collaboration with Mercy Corps and the Ministry of Health. The Fish for Improving Nutrition Cookbook features 12 culturally grounded and nutritious tilapia recipes, encouraging greater fish consumption. It is the first of its kind in Timor-Leste. The cookbook’s aim is to promote increased fish consumption, by educating about the benefits of fish and encouraging regular fish consumption in households, school meal programs and hospitals through tasty recipes using local ingredients. Eating fish, rich in protein and vital nutrients for health and child development, can boost local economies when sourced from nearby fish farmers and fishermen. The recipes are easy to follow, with step-by-step photos and ingredient quantities provided for families (5-10 people) and public institutions (25, 50 and 100 people). | en_US |
