This brochure has been developed on nursery and culture management of Vetki fish for nurserers and farmers. Asian seabass, also known as Vetki, is a popular fish in Bangladesh that is less bony, rich in unsaturated oil, and can withstand saline. This fish is farmed on a small scale by gathering larvae from natural sources. It is found in the rivers, canals, and estuaries of Bangladesh's coastal and Sundarban mangrove habitats. This brochure covers Vetki fish culture and nursery management. This communication product also covers feeding techniques, tank nursery management, and hapa nursery management. It describes various approaches to managing pond and cage cultures, feed protein content ratios, and water quality parameters. A possible income-expenditure estimate for Vetki fish farming is displayed. Vetki are prone to a number of illnesses caused by bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Here, disease management is addressed using data from numerous international and domestic studies. A number of treatments and precautions have been discussed.en_US
