Abstract
- This Aqua Genetics aims to reduce aquatic food supply-demand gaps in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia by accelerating the development and uptake of better-performing strains of widely farmed fish. The research focuses on three pathways: developing better strains of carp, tilapia, and African catfish; ensuring rapid and sustained delivery of these improved strains to smallholder farmers; and enhancing the performance of farming systems.
