Abstract
- The initiative aims to synthesize existing and produce new data to support equitable, evidence-based decisions and investments. It will generate benchmarking data and enable real-time monitoring and evaluation of aquatic food systems (AqFS). The research will improve evidence to inform decisions by farmers, fishers, the private sector, and policymakers. Additionally, it will increase the availability of Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) data, demonstrate the value of integrated AqFS datasets, and establish basic indicators of competitiveness, inclusivity, and sustainability for aquatic foods.
